Ole Miss Emergency Funding

Overview
The purpose of the Christopher C. Holman Memorial Endowment for Ole Miss Student Emergencies and Rebel Relief Disaster Fund is to provide funding to assist currently enrolled students facing crises (including natural disasters) or hardships that require immediate one-time financial assistance. The Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs will make the determination of approval of funding and the amount of funding. Awards typically will not exceed $500.

Application Procedure
Any faculty or staff member can submit a referral form. Students must go through a faculty or staff member; students may not submit the form independently. Forms are located in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs or UMatter: Student Support & Advocacy. The form should be completed and returned to the Director of Advocacy in UMatter. The director will work with the Department of Financial Aid to ensure no additional aid is available. After Financial Aid has reviewed the case, the Vice Chancellor will determine if the student is eligible for either grant and determine the amount that shall be given.

Examples of unforeseen impact include a house fire, death in the family, or catastrophic weather event.
