Non-Resident Community College Transfer Competitive Scholarships

We have had many generous donors over the years who have created scholarships to help students achieve their dreams through the Ole Miss.  To be eligible for any scholarships listed below, students need a minimum of transferable college credit hours (typically either 30 or 48; please see individual awards for specific requirements) and transfer directly from a community college. Please note that the calculation of the transfer GPA will include the grades from all prior colleges attended. Select each section for additional details!

Lyceum Scholar Awards
  • Award Amount:  Full resident tuition for two years.
  • Eligibility:  Community College Transfer students with at least a 3.0 transfer GPA on at least 30 transferable college credit hours and an exemplary record of leadership and service.
  • How to Apply: Complete the Community College Transfer Scholarship Application.

Community College Leadership Scholarship
  • Award Amount:  $6,000 ($3,000 per year for two years)
  • Eligibility:  Community College Transfer students with at least a 3.0 transfer GPA on at least 30 transferable college credit hours and an exemplary record of leadership and service.

Osher Reentry Scholarship
  • Award Amount: Up to $2,500 per year ($1,250/semester)
  • Eligibility: Students who are pursuing their first baccalaureate degree; have experienced a cumulative gap in their education of five or more years since High School graduation or attainment of GED; who are enrolled at least half-time, are US Citizens between 25 and 50 years old; and have demonstrated financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • How to Apply: Apply for admission to The University of Mississippi and complete online Osher Reentry Scholarship Application.
  • Deadline: July 1st to complete the OSHER REENTRY Scholarship Application and students must have a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with the Office of Financial Aid. Priority date is June 1st.
